I woke up this morning with a text from a friend about Radiohead's new album The King of Limbs was released a day early and they have a new music video. I quickly headed over to the site to be amazed that not only did they make a music video for the track Lotus Flower but it features Thom Yorke dancing with choreography by Wayne McGregor. For all of you who don't know who he is, McGregor has the post of resident Choreographer of the Royal Ballet based in London. One of the world best dance institutions. Any real fan of the band knows that Yorke is a crazy muppet of a dancer with tons of soul who looks like hes on acid. McGregor really captured his movement style and added some of his signature loose limb style which ended up being a great collaboration. I have had the chance to meet McGregor a few years back when he set a Chroma on the San Francisco Ballet. He is a very intelligent man with his own unique style and it was great chatting with him as he offered me some good advice while i was starting off my career.
Yet again the Radiohead nailed it in the head and in-cooperated two of my favorite things. Music and dance!
For more on McGregors work you can you can download Entity through Tendu Tv and watch or rent it on itunes. Clearly the band is a fan.

I didn't think Thom could get more amazing, and here he goes again. Man can dance! Yorke/Mcgregor collaboration= artistic moments that make life worth living.
Radiohead made a dance music video!
If you've seen Entity or want to download it, we've started an open discussion about it at my dance site. It's the first selection for a project we've titled Terpsichorus which aims to facilitate regular book-club-like conversation about dance film, documentaries, and biographies. All are welcome, regardless of dance exposure or experience.
Nichelle this sounds wonderful. Please leave a website link in the comment box so i can check it out. I also make dance videos and would love to take part in the discussions.
