Im excited to announce that we will be having the East Oakland Dance Crew TURF FEINZ performing in our BIG TROUBLE Chronos Project Fundraiser.
We got the opportunity to see them perform last week at the MOADs "black masculinity" event where we were also did an installation......It was soooo refreshing to see new movement coming out of the bay with dancers that have made up they're own technique. The dancers are all individually gifted movers adding in they're own flavor to whatever they do. Alex and i were tripping about how they were doing damn near pointe work in they're sneakers. Not too mention the sick dance videos that had my ass fiendishly watching the clips because they were all so wonderfully shot, edited and executed. YAK Films represent! The kids from the TURF FEINZE im sure are about to blow the fuck up within the new future. They have already won competitions in Germany, Paris, New York and LA. I would not be too surprised to see them end up on Americas Best Dance Crew.
